Peavy may pitch for White Sox in late August

Chicago White Sox pitching coach Don Cooper said on Thursday that Jake Peavy will be in Chicago on Saturday to throw a side session. After that, the plan is for Peavy to have three minor-league starts before he is brought back to the major leagues.
The Sox are looking at the possibility of Peavy pitching in the minors on Aug. 13, Aug. 18 and Aug. 23, with a projected major-league start on either Aug. 28, or Sept. 2 or Sept. 3. The Sox and Chicago Cubs have a make-up game on Sept. 3.
Wow!, talk about a huge shot in the arm, if Peavy can come back and be somewhat productive....don't thing they are gonna go far however, but still having Peavy doesn't hurt their chances.

Peavy, Buerhle, Danks, and Floyd is a solid 4. At least with Peavy and Buerhle, they are more in line to compete with the other potential AL playoff teams' 1-2 punch (Sabathia and Burnett, Beckett and Lester, Verlander and Jackson, Lackey and Weaver). In fact, a healthy Peavy and Buerhle might arguably be the best of all 1-2 punches in baseball.
