DETROIT -- The Detroit Pistons have signed first-round draft pick Austin Daye.
The Gonzaga forward signed a two-year guaranteed contract Wednesday and the team holds an option in each of the following two seasons.
Daye averaged 12.7 points and 6.8 rebounds as a sophomore for the Bulldogs. He is the son of former NBA player Darren Daye. The Pistons hope the slender forward can provide frontcourt depth behind Tayshaun Prince.
Never under estimated Joe Dumars, he has a knack for finding talented overlooked players.....anyone else think that dude kind of looks like Tayshaun Prince?
