The Portland Trail Blazers have reached an agreement on a five-year contract extension with guard Brandon Roy, a league source told ESPN.com.
The contract is expected to be worth $80 million dollars and goes into effect at the start of the 2010 NBA season
It's about time they got a deal done. And lets be honest, the guy deserved it. Not only has he helped remake the image of a franchise that was once known for its thuggish players, to a team with outstanding character guys that are fun to watch on a nightly basis. Money well spent if you ask me.
